Purple, earth, dirt and leather… I love Mourvedre, Mataro, Monastrell or whatever you care to call it. It’s a mud pie of mother earth’s finest.
The wine was left to macerate for two months allowing all the goodness to ooze out of the thick skins.
Basket pressed, stored in old large format barrels and allowed a lengthy maturation.
Deliciously dirty… Salute!
