Rosato 2018

$25.00

Bronzed rose, melons, stone fruit, bright and seductive fruits of the forest, for Rosato I have traded my soul. Luscious wine, produced by draining juice away from the skins of multiple varietals at varying intervals. Hand picked, basket pressed, open fermented.
Blushingly beautiful… Salute!

Paul’s notes:

Been missing for a while and welcomed with open arms!

When summer rolls around there isn’t anything I enjoy better than a lean, easy drinking, cool rose…. Along with fresh basil pesto from the garden… and a heap of other summery things.
I’ve always made rosato but generally my family and friends have been more than helpful with finishing it all off before it sees the inside of a bottle. That is, until now.

Open fermented, as in the days of old, there is no blanket of gas to keep the wine from the character driving oxygen.
Lovely understated melon characters and red fruit sneaks, this wine teases with Grenache fruit sweetness but don’t be fooled as it finishes clean and dry.

Rosato, rosato, where have you been all my life ?

“Lean, easy, fun, glugable… summer drinking just wouldn’t be the same without this little beauty.”
